Africa does not have an opportunity shortage. It has an opportunity-discovery problem. Scholarships close with thousands of unopened seats. Grants expire unknown. Internships fill through whisper networks.

Oppora aggregates, verifies and explains opportunities — then matches them to a living profile we call the Opportunity Passport. Every match shows its working. Every deadline gets intelligence. Every application gets preparation.

Source & last-checked

Every listing shows where it came from and when we last re-checked it. Stale listings are paused automatically.

Community reporting

One tap reports a listing — fee requests, wrong deadlines or unverifiable organisers pause it pending review.

This build runs on a demo dataset. Listings are realistic samples for prototyping and are labelled “Demo listing” — they are not live, verified opportunities.

No. You submit on the provider's portal; Oppora prepares you and tracks the application afterwards.

In this prototype, entirely in your browser (localStorage). Production stores it encrypted with export and delete controls.

Open the opportunity and use “Report this opportunity”. Listings that request fees are paused immediately.

Privacy

We collect only what matching needs: your Passport, saves and application states. We never sell data. In the prototype everything stays on your device; production adds encryption at rest, GDPR/NDPR rights and a one-click export.

Terms of service

Oppora is a discovery and preparation layer. Providers remain the source of truth for eligibility, deadlines and decisions. Misuse — scraping, fake reports, fee requests — terminates access.

Cookie policy

We use essential local storage for your session and Passport. No advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers. Analytics (production) are privacy-preserving and opt-outable.
